Sydney, NSW, AU, 2000
You see the big picture, you’ve always worked on a grand scale, and now you’re ready to re-focus on grand impact.
You have the opportunity to gain a wealth of expertise and a diverse range of skills, providing insight and knowledge without losing sight of your work-life balance or wellbeing.
In this role, you'll:
Work within the SCATS team (Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System), the world’s leading intelligent traffic management system, powering smarter cities across more than 200 locations globally. Created by Transport for NSW, SCATS enables road authorities to optimise traffic flow across some of the most complex transport networks in the world using advanced algorithms, real time data, and high performance software.
SCATS is now undergoing a major transformation, evolving into a modern, cloud enabled platform to capture growing global demand and unlock new commercial opportunities. This is a rare chance to join a mission critical technology organisation at a pivotal moment and help shape the future of intelligent transport at a global scale.
In the Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer role, you’ll build and operate cloud-based products that enable governments to manage traffic more efficiently and safely. You’ll work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, automation, resilience, and real time systems, supporting capabilities such as coordinated traffic signals, connected vehicle communication, and priority routing for emergency services.
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver highly effective, practical, and reliable software components for new and existing intelligent transport systems. Furthermore, the role continuously develops and assesses the systems to ensure systems meet the evolving needs of customers.
If you’ve ever been curious about how cities keep traffic moving, how vehicles interact with intersections, or how technology enables green light priority for emergency services, this role offers the chance to work on systems that make a real, visible impact every day.
